The Trainer!

Rue Speth

As a young, female trainer, it is crucial to me that I am a trainer who clients love, trust, return to, and recommend to others. I started pet sitting, dog walking, and giving pony rides at fourteen. Every job I have had has led to my career as a trainer. I still work as a kennel tech and trainer at a doggy daycare, but by building my own site and my own business it will open the door for my experience and clientele to grow. While I may be younger than most of the other trainers in this industry, I do not allow it to reduce my confidence. Instead, I think of it as something which allows me to start learning and growing as a trainer sooner than I may have if I started this any later in life.

Working as a kennel tech is what has given be the ability to work with dogs of every breed, age, and temperament. My knowledge of dog body language and learning how to navigate difficult situations has grown immensely. I have formed bonds with countless dogs, and learned how to help them become calmer, happier, and confident just by spending eight hours with them.

As a reactive dog owner, that is where my heart lies. Eventually, I wish to train reactive dogs, aggressive dogs, and personal protection dogs. With the help and trust of clients, I believe I can reach this.
