Every dog starts off training with a slip leash. This is especially beneficial for puppies because it teaches them leash pressure — a crucial piece of foundation. We like to continue using slip leads if possible. However, some dogs may need a bit more firmer communication. If this is the case, we will move them to either a plastic prong collar or a prong collar with plastic tipped prongs. This adds just a slight bit more pressure. It does not harm the dog. If your pup needs a bit more communication than that, or perhaps they have thick fur like a Collie or a long-haired German Shepherd, we will use a normal, uncovered prong. Again, this does not harm your dog. It acts to mimic a correction a puppy would receive from the mother, and extra communication. We continue to use plenty of treats, toys, affection, and praise.

After discussing in detail what your hopes and needs are for your dog, I will pick them up on an agreed upon date. The first day is only for them to get used to the enviorment and for me to build a bond with them. After we have established a bond, we will begin introducing the first few commands. Our sessions are easy-going, and low stress. Sometimes, your dog may work for thirty minutes. Sometimes they will only work for ten. It all depends upon how your dog is feeling. An extremely stressed or tired dog is not a dog who will learn in a positive way.

Absolutely! We understand that these dogs are family and we thank you for trusting us with them. You will receive photos and text updates, and there will be a google photo album created where I will add photos and videos to show and explain what your pup worked on.

Yes. Pricing can be flexible, prices listed are a base price. If your dog has a little more behavioral issues you would like to work on, there may be a higher price. If you have an adult dog you simply want refreshed on a few commands, the price may be lowered. We know how much worry money can be, and we want to be very budget friendly.
We offer a discount on double dogs. However, keep in mind, I only take two dogs from the same household at a time. Again, depending upon your wishes and goals for your dogs, pricing will vary for both dogs.

Through information provided by you, I take extensive notes and formulate a plan before your dog comes to me for training. As there is no one size fits all for training, I do not have a set plan for you dog, simply a general outline which I can easily change if needed.

No! If you want your dog to continue to be well behaved and trained, you must keep up with the training. Dogs are like us; they learn and grow every day and repetition is important, but they cannot do it themselves, and need your help to do so. Don’t worry, you’ll receive a folder with information to help and a recommended training schedule.
